Schwinn Airdyne, Noise While Pedaling or Using Arms

The Schwinn Airdyne exercise bikes have arms that move with you while pedaling.

Do you hear a noise while pedaling or using the arms? Do you hear a clunking or knocking? You have to find where the noise is coming from.

Due to all the moving parts, you have to isolate the arms and fan from the pedals. You will need to be able to move the arms and fan without moving the pedals.

You will have to disconnect the necessary parts to allow this.

Once the arms and fan can move without moving the pedals, check each separately.

If turning the pedals without the arms and fan moving, is the noise still present? If yes, this is the area that needs inspection and repair. If no, then turn the fan and arms without moving the pedals.
