This document applies to 220volt units with serial numbers: CLL100004-CLL161748. These units can use motor control board ak75-00005-0001, Sportsmith item P01AK7500050001 with some setup and required parts. Specifically, an updated elevation motor, the removal of both the auto-transformer and harness, and the circuit breaker, and the installation of a plug to cover the hole created by the absence of the breaker.
Tools required:
- Phillips screwdriver
- Blocks to elevate the treadmill
- Pliers
- Small crescent
Parts required:
- Motor Control Board
- Elevation Motor
- Frame Plug
Procedure:
- Power off and unplug the treadmill
- Remove the motor hood
- Take pictures and notes of what connectors plug in and where on the current Motor Control Board
- Disconnect the required harnesses and wires to allow the removal of the Motor Control Board
- Support the frame with blocks or other to take the weight off the lift carriage wheels
- Remove the elevation motor and replace it with the updated version (0k58-01550-0000, 127926)
- The elevation motor has a three-pin connector
NOTE: The cable harness between the autotransformer and breaker is not compatible with the new Motor Control Board.
- Install the new Motor Control Board into the frame and connect all harnesses back
- Remember, the three-pin connector for the autotransformer and breaker is not used
- Remove the breaker from the frame and install the plug (P01001700421053, 0017-00042-1053) in its place
- Install the motor hood
- Plug in the treadmill
- Test the treadmill before use
