- Remove the shroud and set it aside.

- Once the tension shaft is loosened, pull it through until it clears the engine or cam that is being replaced.
- After the tension shaft clears the engine (cam), remove the pre-tension pack. Using the 3/32" Allen wrench, remove the 6 bolts from the pre-tension pack. Set the pre-tension pack aside.

Tech Tips
- Note that during the installation of the lower spool, the strap must be wrapped or wound counterclockwise.
- While re-positioning the tension shaft, note to slide the shaft slowly through until it clicks in place. If no click is heard or felt, make certain the shaft is centered. Do this by measuring the exposed amount of shaft on each side of the unit.
- Be sure to properly tension the shaft by tightening the screws in order as numbered on the tensioner. Tighten the screws in order. 1&1, 2&2, 3&3, and last 4&4.
- Check the operation of the machine. This completes how to replace the cam or engine drive assembly found on Bowflex Revolution home gyms.
