Precor EFX Ellipticals, Replacing a 2-Piece Front Cover

This article covers the steps you will take when replacing a front cover that is the 2-piece design on a Precor EFX elliptical. These covers are a tall piece that covers from the ground level to the top of the lift motor for the ramp.

Tools Required:

• Screwdriver Set

Procedure:

There are eight screws total that will be removed.

1. Remove the lower mounting screws from the front shroud. There are four screws, two screws per side.
2. Remove the upper mounting screws from the front shroud. There are four screws, two screws per side.
3. The 2-piece design front cover will now separate into two halves. Remove from the machine.
4. Install the new front covers or return the covers after making your repairs on the machine by installing the upper mounting screws first. Tighten the hardware.
5. Install the lower mounting screws. Tighten the hardware.

This completes the replacement of a 2-piece front cover on a Precor EFX elliptical.
