Bike Pedals, Garmin Rally Series, Replacing the Batteries

Replacing the batteries in your Rally series pedals is a simple process. The battery in each pedal is a CR1/3N or 2L76 battery.

It is recommended you replace all batteries at the same time.

  Do not mix battery types.

Tools Required:

  • 4mm Hex Wrench

Steps to Replacing the Battery:

  • Remove the battery cover located opposite the pedal shaft of the Garmin Rally pedal. You will need the 4mm hex wrench. Turn the wrench counter clockwise.
  • Remove the battery.
  • Allow 5 to 10 seconds and install the new battey into the cover. Make note of the battery position.
  • Replace and hand tighten the battery cover. It is important not to lose or damage the o-ring gasket.
  • Tighten the battery cover with the hex wrench to 3.6 lbf-ft. (5N-m). The pedal LED displays one short green flash followed by on long red flash upon connection.
