Concept2 BikeErg, Replacing the Seat on a BikeErg

The bike seat for the Concept2 BikeErg is comfortable for many riders. However, replacing the bike seat is a common way folks customize a bike for their rides.

Bike seats can be interchangeable across models and brands of bikes. Many bike seats come with a seat clamp that clamps to the round stud of the seat post.

The bike seat for the Concept2 BikeErg uses an integrated seat post clamp. Below is an example of the seat and integrated seat post clamp found on the BikeErg.

As you see, the integrated seat post clamp attaches to the rails on the seat. This style seat post clamp stays on the bike. A 9/16" open face wrench is the tool you will need when replacing or adjusting the seat.

You loosen the nut on the integrated seat post clamp. This allows you to either remove the seat or make necessary adjustments to the seat position.

Any bike seat with the rails like the above example will fit with the integrated seat post clamp of the Concept2 BikeErg.

Many bike seats with rails come with seat post clamp. The most common seat post clamp is for a round stud on the seat post. Below is an example of this style seat post clamp.

If you have a bike seat with this style seat clamp and want to use the seat on your BikeErg, you can remove the seat post clamp from the seat and install the seat in place of the BikeErg seat.
