Bowflex Max Trainer, M5, How to Replace the Console Display on a Bowflex M5 Max Trainer

A time will come that the console display of the Bowflex Max Trainer M5 will need to be replaced. We cover the steps you will take to replace the console display on a M5 Max Trainer by Bowflex.

Tools Required:

• Phillips screwdriver

Replacing the Console Display:

1. Disconnect the power supply or ac adapter. Wait 5 minutes before beginning work.
2. Remove the four screws that mount the console assembly to the machine. There are two screws per side. The screws at to the side and back of the console. You will need the Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws.
3. Lift the console carefully to expose the cables and their connections. Take care not to crimp any of the cables.
4. Disconnect the cables carefully making note of their connections to the console. Take care not to crimp any of the cables.
5. Remove the screw in the back of the console display located just at the bottom of the circuit board. You will need the Phillips screwdriver to remove this screw.
6. Gently separate the console assembly from the console display by carefully lifting the console assembly upward while pulling down on the display.
7. Reverse this step to place the new console display into the console assembly.
8. Replace the screw that connected the console assembly to the console display. You will need the Phillps screwdriver to do this.
9. Reconnect the cables to the console following your noted locations from the removal. Take care not to crimp any of the cables.
10. Gently set the console in place and insert the screws. Take care not to crimp any cables when setting the console into place. Tighten the fours screws to attach the console. You will need the Phillips screwdriver.
11. Reconnect the ac adapter or power supply.
12. Inspect the machine and check that assembly is complete. Check that hardware is tightened. Check machine operation.
