- #2 Phillips Screwdriver
- 5mm Hex Wrench
- 6mm Hex Wrench

Procedure:
Note: It is important to know the proper orientation of the crank arms for reassembly. The right and left crank arms should be opposite each other and inline. See the example above.
- Install the crank arm ensuring proper orientation.
- Reinstall the crank arm nut and torque the nut to 9-32.5 foot lbs (or 350- 390 inch lbs). You will need a 9/16" or 14mm socket.
- Reinstall the crank cover and tighten the two mounting screws to secure it in place. Take care and do not over-tighten these screws.
- Lift the connector arm and join it together with the pivot arm. Reinstall the hardware securing this connection.
- Reinstall the handlebar and secure it with the hardware removed from the handlebar. Tighten the hardware with the 5mm hex wrench.
- Place the wave washer onto the crank arm shaft.
- Holding the leg assembly by the pedal arm and foot pedal, slide the leg assembly straight onto the crank arm shaft.
- Reinstall the hardware for the leg assembly and tighten it with the 6mm hex wrench.
- Install the cap over the leg assembly hardware.
- Check the machine for proper function.
This completes installing the crank assembly for the Bowflex Max Trainer.
