Probable Cause
- 1. Shorted or damaged wiring between the lower PCA and the eddy current magnet is the most common cause for this error.
- Bad eddy current magnet.
- Bad lower PCA.
Corrective Action
- Thoroughly inspect the eddy current wiring and connections ensuring that the wires are not shorted to the frame or shorted together. Repair or replace damaged wiring as necessary.
- Disconnect the wires from the eddy current magnet. Using an ohmmeter, check for approximately 100 ohms across the eddy current magnet terminals. If the reading is considerably low, replace the eddy current magnet. Measure ohms between each eddy current magnet terminal and the frame ground. You should have no resistance between the eddy current magnet terminal and the frame ground. If resistance is present this would indicate a partial short, replace the eddy current magnet.
- If the eddy current magnet wiring and the eddy current magnet are both good from the above tests, replace the lower PCA.
