How to Find the Serial# on Fitness Equipment

In many cases, the location of the serial number is common between brands and types of equipment. If you do not see your brand listed, we recommend checking the noted location of the serial number for the type of unit.

  2. Located at the rear.

  1. Located on the front stabilizer on the user's right side.
Treadclimbers

 A serial number may be found in one of these locations
  1. Located on the bottom frame, user's left side.
  2. Located on the inside of the bottom frame, user's right side.
  3. Older Units: Located on the front of the unit, near the locking lever.
  4. Older Units: Located on the rear of the unit.

 Located at ground level on the user's left side of the lift frame.

Rower Unit Serial # Location
Model A

 Units manufactured before October 1, 1982, will not have a serial#.  The date of purchase is used for these rowers.

Units after October 1, 1982, the serial# is located on the bottom edge of the mount board for the chain guide.  Serial# can be 2 pairs of numbers separated by a dash or 6 numbers.
Model B

 Located under the left or right footboard (must tip unit on its side to expose).
Model C

 Serial# begins with 6 digits that represent the date the unit was boxed. 
A serial number may be found in one of these locations
    1. Located between the "V" of the flywheel support legs.
    2. Located on the bottom side of the rower.
Model D

 Units prior to October 17, 2005, the serial# is located between the "V" of the flywheel support legs on the bottom side of the rower.  Serial# begins with 6 digits that represent the date the unit was boxed. 

Units from October 17, 2005, to present the serial# is located between the "V" of the flywheel support legs attached to the left side of the flywheel cover.  Serial# will be three groups of numbers separated by dashes.
Model E

 Located on the left side of the flywheel housing under the box arm.  The flywheel is attached to the box arm and it is the main angled arm.  Serial# will be made up of three groups of numbers separated by dashes.
Dynamic Indoor Rower
 Located on the inner left side of the front leg.  The front leg is the leg that attaches to the monitor arm.  Serial# will be made up of three groups of numbers separated by dashes.

  2. Located on the metal frame just inside of the flywheel, the user's right side.
Console Only
A serial number may be found in one of these locations.
  1. Located on the backside of the console (cover must be removed).
  2. Located on the lower edge of the console (cover must be removed).
Ellipticals
(Standing)
 There are two separate serial numbers per machine: the base and console.

Base/Body of Machine Only
  • Located below the right chrome rail next to where the power supply plugs into the machine.
Console
A serial number may be found in one of these locations.
  1. Located on the bottom edge of the upper console (just above the keypad).
  2. Located on the underside of the console.

| Precor Serial # Locations

Serial numbers of Precor equipment are almost always on a white label below a black barcode (appears similar to a UPC code).  Depending on the date of manufacture, the serial number is an alphanumeric combination that is either 10 or 13 characters long.  The serial number is in different locations depending on the type of equipment you own.
