Battery Over Heats During Program on LifeFitness Bikes, 90C and 90CW

Probable Cause

  1. Battery Wires are incorrectly connected.
  2. Worn Battery Wires.
  3. Battery leads grounding upon frame.
  4. Malfunctioning Display Console.

Corrective Action

  1. Inspect connections.
    1. Red wire to positive (+) lead.
    2. Black wire to negative (-) lead.
  2. Inspect Wires.
    1. Replace worn/damaged wires or harnesses.
  3. Inspect leads.
    1. Replace battery.
  4. Test with substitute Display Console.
    1. Replace malfunctioning Console.
