Troubleshooting Video for a Console Reset Issue on Stairmaster Stepmill, SM916

This video covers the electronic troubleshooting steps for a complaint of Constant Resetting of the Console on a Stairmaster SM916 Stepmill.

The complaint generally is that the console resets after a program has been selected. Meaning, the user steps onto the machine and perhaps chooses QuickStart. The console will display Enjoy Workout and then resets prompting the user to Select Workout. This could also occur if the user selects a program, enters their weight, level, and time; the console displays Enjoy Workout and then resets prompting the user to Select Workout.

This occurs due to an insufficient power source. The amount of power required when entering information into the console is very minimal. Once the information has been entered and the program is activated, the power required increases dramatically. The issue of the console resetting is due to the power supply not providing sufficient power. It is recommended to replace the power supply to solve this problem.
