Tools:
- Hex key wrench set
- Phillips screwdriver
Procedure:
- Without running on the unit, start and let it run about 5 minutes at 5mph.
- Reduce the speed to 2mph. While the unit running at 2mph, start walking on the belt.
- Grasp handrails firmly and try stopping/stalling the walking belt with your feet.
- If the striding belt slips, continue to the next step.
- Bring the treadmill to a stop; Locate the two belt tension bolts on each side of the rear roller mounting brackets.
- Turn the bolts ¼ turn clockwise, alternating sides. (IMPORTANT: While adjusting, DO NOT surpass more than 1 full turn on the tensioning screws in each direction.)
- Redo steps 3 and 4 until the belt will not slip when trying to stop/stall the belt with your foot. (IMPORTANT: While adjusting, DO NOT surpass more than 1 full turn on the tensioning screws in each direction.)
- Turn the bolts ¼ turn clockwise, alternating sides. (IMPORTANT: While adjusting, DO NOT surpass more than 1 full turn on the tensioning screws in each direction.)
