Stairmaster Stepmill 7000PT Electronic Testing of Relay Board

 

This procedure covers How To Test the Relay Board of a Stairmaster Stepmill 7000PT.

The user's right main panel will need to be removed to perform this testing.

Tools:

  • You will need a jumper wire to perform the testing covered in this procedure.

Procedure:

  1. Disconnect power from the machine.
  2. Disconnect the main cable from the relay board J1 terminal.
    1. The main cable should remain disconnected for the duration of the relay board tests.
  3. With the Power ON, place a jumper wire across the GND/BLK and RLY/RED test points. CAUTION: Ensure the jumper wire only makes contact with the designated test points.
    1. Verify that the Relay LED is lit.
    2. Remove jumper wire.
  4. With the Power ON, place jumper wire across the +/WHT and FLD/BRN test points. CAUTION: Ensure the jumper wire only makes contact with the designated test points.
    1. Verify that the Field LED is lit.
    2. Remove jumper wire.
  5. With the Power ON, place jumper wire across the +/WHT, and with the other end touch the ALT/C.
    1. Verify that the Field LED lights.
  6. If any of these jumps fail, replace the relay board and/or power supply.
