How to Remove and Replace the Cable Ball Stop on a BowFlex

The replaceable cable ball stops on a BowFlex home gym are a two-piece design.

Here are the steps to install the ball onto a cable.

Slide the outside piece onto the cable with the round hole facing the end of the cable.

Place the inside piece over the cable between the outside piece and the end of the cable with the wider end facing the end of the cable. 

Slide the inside piece up around the cable fitting.

Slide the outside piece over the inside piece.

The two pieces press together making the ball stop complete.

They come apart by reversing this action. You will push the two pieces of the ball apart. You can press the inside piece out or pull down on the outside piece to pull it away from the inside.

Once the pieces are no longer pressed together, you can separate the ball from the cable.
