How to Use the Cog Tool for Concept2 Rowers

Using the Cog Tool for Sprocket Removal on Concept 2 Rowers

Removing a sprocket from the flywheel axle on the Concept2 rowers can be difficult. The cog tool helps to hold the axle while removing the sprocket. The tool looks like a large nut with a needle bearing inside of it.

Supplies Needed:

Procedure:

    1. Once the axle is out of the flywheel, you can place the cog tool onto the axle opposite the sprocket.
    2. Place the tool onto the axle so that the writing on the bearing faces away from the sprocket.
    3. Use the pliers or a wrench to hold the tool. Turn the sprocket counterclockwise.
